Report on Brazil Water Purifier Market Forecast and Opportunities, 2017

Pure water supply in Brazil is characterized by both achievements and challenges. One of the most important achievements is an increase in access to piped water supply from 66% to 77% between 1990 and 2006. Yet another vital challenge is the existence of high number of poor Brazilians living in urban slums and in rural areas without access to pure and drinkable water due to water scarcity in the Northeast of Brazil, water pollution, especially in the South-East of the country and so on. All these factors have exacerbated the pure water shortage problem which has given rise to the sales of water purifiers in Brazil.

According to “Brazil Water Purifier Market Forecast & Opportunities, 2017” the water purifier market in Brazil is still in its nascent stage. The increased health consciousness amongst the Brazilians coupled with the shortage of drinking water in Brazil owing to pollution and other harmful impurities are driving the growth rate of the water purifiers. The Brazilian Supplier Report

In 2011, Brazil was the world’s seventh largest auto producer, turning out 3.41 million vehicles and also the fifth largest auto market, with sales of 3.63 million representing increases of 7% and 3.4% respectively on the previous year. But of greater significance is the fact that the market in Brazil had continued to grow strongly throughout the global economic downturn of the previous two years. In 2009, despite a 43% drop in exports, local vehicle production slipped only 1% as domestic sales bucked the global gloom, growing by 11.5%.

The continued resilience of Brazil’s auto market and the increasing affluence of Brazilian consumers has certainly attracted renewed global attention and has stimulated a flurry of substantial new investments from international vehicle manufacturers and suppliers. Whilst the initial success of these new projects may rest on the continuing growth of the domestic market, their longer-term sustainability will require Brazil to place greater emphasis on building international sales and trading partnerships than has previously been the case. The increased levels of vehicle assembly will also place new pressure on the local supply base and the availability of indigenous engineering skills.

This first edition report examines the Brazilian economy and reports on developments at those car and truck makers currently active in Brazil. Furthermore the report includes sections on the component sector, new automotive investments, the automotive market, alternative technologies, business challenges and the road ahead.

Finally the report provides detailed profiles and analysis of 69 key automotive suppliers in Brazil.

Brazil Power Sector Outlook 2016

Brazil, one of the world’s fastest growing economies and the largest power market in South America is moving towards the sustainable development of power sector in future. In the light of its growing power demands, the markets for other sources like natural gas, wind, solar energy are going to expand in addition to the growth of hydro energy, on which most of Brazil’s power depends. Over the coming few years there will be an increase in the inflow of cash for building new transmission and distribution lines and revamping the old ones, presenting a wide variety of opportunities for financial and technical service providers. The Brazilian power segment was privatized in 1997 but even after 15 years the government has an upper hand, which along with many other factors, makes the investors wary.

The whole power scenario of Brazil has come a long way from being a state controlled underinvested sector to a competitive privatized market. The sector which used to be dominated by government policies and regulations, like in any other developing country, has now become an exciting and dynamic open market. The power generation in Brazil is dominated by hydro power which account for more than 70% of the overall installed capacity in recent years. The total installed capacity was around 116 GW by end of 2011, the largest in Latin America and third largest in America region after U.S and Canada.

The future of Brazil’s power sector will be focused on generation of power from sources other than hydro. By 2020 the consumption is forecasted to grow by more than 500 TWh and it will require sources like wind, solar, biomass to contribute to the supply. Thus, coming years will see heavy investment, change in government’s policies in favor of these sources and auctions that will be dominated by wind and solar. Apart from developing different sources of power generation there are some issues that need to be tackled by the government which will ensure adequate and fair supply of power to all.
